Introduction

About the Author was supposed to be the title of my autobiography.

But there is more about me than the mere facts and embellishments that are proper to an autobiography.  There are philosophies and dreams, confessions and cold, disturbing, uninteresting truths that would not be proper to an autobiography.

This blog, therefore, is dedicated to those elements of my life, past, present, and to be future. There will definitely be facts and embellishments as well, but they may be less frequent.

Therefore, this space is dedicated to the basic facts about me.

I am a Catholic Man. I was raised in Rural South Carolina where I learned to love the earth with all the physical and spiritual fruits God provides through it.  My siblings and I were homeschooled by our loving parents.  After graduating high school, The Lord called me to Holy Trinity Seminary in Irving, Texas, for two years where I found many good friends and a whole new part of my own self.  He then led me away from seminary formation and into the Catholic Laity.  After a six month period of rest and discernment in Texas, I moved back to South Carolina to work and save money for school.

When I am not sleeping, I love to play guitar and sing songs that I write. I also love to run, box, bike and listen to music, especially John Denver.  I enjoy reading C.S. Lewis, Tolkien, G.K. Chesterton, John Paul II, and the founding documents of the Catholic Land Movement.  I love camping, hiking, singing around a fire and sleeping under the stars.

I am currently a student at Wyoming Catholic College in Lander, Wyoming.
