Why Am I A Captive Heart?
My heart is a captive
one.
On the one hand, my
heart is held captive by Sin and Fear. Sin
is active in all of our lives and causes Fear to take hold of us which prevents
us from fully living from our heart.
On the other hand, my
heart is held captive by Grace and Wonder. Grace is active in all of our lives
and causes Wonder to take hold of us which prevents us from fully succumbing to
the snares of evil.
This blog is for men
and their hearts.
Our hearts are held captive by the modern culture. Whether we are enslaved by laziness, apathy, vulgarity, pornography, addiction, past and present hurt, or any kind of sin, our hearts are suppressed and long to be free.

The ideas here are not
necessarily my own. They are thoughts
and experiences that have helped me in my journey to free my own heart.
My prayer is that our hearts may be free from the things that enslave us in our restlessness so that our hearts may be free to rest in God.
